It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Mr. Darrell Lance Peters at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, where he was surrounded by his loved ones, on Friday, November 15, 2024 at the age of 68 years. Darrell was born in Red Deer to Larry and Leona Peters, minutes before his identical twin brother, Dale Peters. Darrell dedicated over forty years of service to the Oil and Gas Industry, retiring in 2020 with Halliburton, as a Senior Technical Sales Rep, where his strong work ethic and reputation did not go unnoticed. Darrell was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and fisherman, spending as much time in the wilderness as he could and sharing his passion with many. In his later years, he found enjoyment in woodworking, alongside his brother Dale, gold panning with his sons, and spending quality time with all his family and friends. Darrell will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Logan and Dustin and their mother, Wendy, his two granddaughters, his grandson, Archer, his long-term life partner, Ora and her daughters, Samantha (Cyril), Sabrina and Savanna and her grandchildren, Finnan and Malakai. He will also be sadly missed by his mother, Leona, his siblings, Shirley (Wes), Sharin (Leif), Mitchell (Candace), Dale (Brenda), Duane (Tracy) and Laurie (Ernie), as well as his nieces, nephews, and numerous other family members and friends. Darrell was predeceased by his father, Larry Peters, his stepfather, Newell Ewing and his nephew, Parker Peters. A viewing was held at the Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67A Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
