Agri-Trade ready to welcome all to 40th annual expo, Nov. 13-15

The annual Agri-Trade Equipment Expo is back for a 40th year, Nov. 13-15, at Red Deer’s Westerner Park.

Among other exciting things, this year’s show will feature the Lookout Room Business Centre for refreshments during the show; a tribute to the former Billy Bob’s bar, complete with mechanical bull; as well as innovative product launches, and the Ag Innovations Competition on Nov. 14.

There is $25,000 up for grabs in that competition.

There will also be plenty of international ag flair, with pavilions hosted by Germany, Australia and the United Kingdom, to name a few.

Dave Fiddler, the show’s senior advisor, says the entire crew putting on Agri-Trade is excited for what’s to come.

“We hope to attract 40,000 people this year and break some records. We average around 28,000 to 32,000, but we’ve got more exhibitors, over 500, than we’ve ever had,” says Fiddler.

“Agri-Trade is a unique show in that it happens in the fall, after harvest is done, cattle have been marketed for the season, and farmers know what’s in the bin. Agri-Trade has the reputation around North America that it does because of that; farmers and ranchers come here to do business.”

Fiddler says they have an exhibitor wait list around 500, and have rented out more outdoor space this year than ever before.
