Linda Sarah Diane Alguire-Cook passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice, Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at the age of 74 years. Linda was born to Curley and Marie Alguire in Halifax, Nova Scotia. There she completed her High School education before working as a Book Keeper and an Administrative Assistant. Linda met and married Bob Cook in Halifax on June 29, 1968 and together the couple had two sons, Robb and Tony. Linda had many hobbies including knitting, sewing and gardening. At one time, Linda knitted hats for babies that were born at the Red Deer Hospital. In her sixties, Linda even took up marathons! She was an incredible woman who was loved by many. Linda will be lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty-six years, Bob Cook, her two sons, Robb (Donna) and Tony (Andrea), her seven grandchildren, Jessica, Courtney, Bradley, Ally, Sam, Ben and Zoe, and her great grandchildren, Robbie and Ava. Linda will also be sadly missed by her five brothers, Carl (Wendy), Leonard (Lynn), Bill, Tim and Todd, as well as numerous friends and extended family members. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If desired and in lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in Linda’s honor may be made directly to the Red Deer Hospice at www.reddeerhospice.com.
