The family of Kenneth Robert (Ken) Barnett is devastated to announce his tragic and sudden passing in an accident on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the age of 52. Ken leaves to mourn his loving wife, D’ette, of 27 years, his 3 sons Cade (Sereya), Zane and Jess. As well as his beautiful Granddaughter Hadley Amelia. Also left to mourn are Ken’s parents Bob and Bonnie Barnett of Olds, Alberta; brother Ian (Tasha) of Bearberry, Alberta, sister Bobbi-Lynn (Chad) Werbowesky of Calgary; mother-in-law Vahlleri, brother in-law Gerry (Lisa) Semeniuk of Okotoks, Alberta and his many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Ken also leaves behind his chosen family The Neals and The Brackens of Crammond, Alberta. Ken was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, friend, son and brother who’s love and pride for his family was known to everyone. Ken worked away most of his career but always made sure the ones he loved most were his number one priority. Ken not only had family at home but also had his Colombian colleagues who will miss him tremendously. Ken loved his job but also had a love for riding his Harley, sledding and boating with his family and working around the Ranch with his boys. A  Celebration of Life for Ken will be held at the Olds College Alumni Centre, 5250 – 44 Street, Olds, Alberta (Parking at the Alumni Centre for family and guests will be in Lot D) on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Canadian Legion Branch of donor’s choice or to Stars Air Ambulance.
