Chamber asking for member feedback amidst $19M city budget shortfall

The Red Deer District Chamber of Commerce is asking members for their input on how the organization can advocate for the business community regarding the City of Red Deer’s 2025 budget.

Currently, the municipality is facing a budget deficit of up to $19 million, with the possibility of a double-digit tax increase to address the gap coming ever closer.

The Chamber would like to know how it can best advocate to support a sustainable and prosperous business environment amidst these issues. An online survey can be found here, and will close on Oct. 31 at 4 p.m.
