Hurricanes come from behind in third period to beat Rebels
The Red Deer Rebels carried a one-goal lead into the third period but they gave up three unanswered goals in the final five minutes to fall 5-3 on the road.
Rebels captain Ollie Josephson scored nearly a minute and a half into the game on the powerplay but the Hurricanes found the equalizer just over three minutes later off the stick of Brayden Edwards on the man advantage.
At the midway point of the opening frame, defenceman Hunter Mayo hammered in a one-timer from the blue line that beat the goaltender in the top corner.
