Mrs. Jacqueline Therese ‘Jackie’ Kress (nee Labbé) of Red Deer, Alberta sadly passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at the age of 88 years. Jackie was born on October 12, 1936 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. She grew up in a large family with all her siblings, John, Lucein, René, Allan, Cecile, William, Lucy and Jackie. Jackie, William and Lucy were all born on the very same day, the same month, just different years. Jackie recently celebrated her 88th birthday with her adoring family and friends. Jackie told everyone she was 29ish. She loved her Friday hair days, playing bingo, and hanging out with Walter Trihart, her best friend. Jackie loved to travel to Mexico, where she was also loved by all the friends she had there. Jackie was very funny, stylish and she never sat still. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Jackie will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Shelly Smith and her son-in-law, Don Smith; her grandson, Levi Smith and his wife, Brittany; her great grandson, Cohen Smith; her granddaughter, Kristie Lynn Hiscock and her partner, Gedzo, and her great grandson, Charlie Hiscock. She will also be sadly missed by her siblings, William Labbé, Lucy (Lou) Beatch (nee Labbé) and all her Labbé cousins, and their families. Jackie was predeceased by her husband, Norm Kress and her other siblings. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
