WASTE TRANSFER SITE CHANGING HOURS

Sylvan Lake kitchen and yard waste collections ending later this month

The Town of Sylvan Lake would like to remind residents that yard and kitchen waste collections are ending soon for the 2024 season, and the Waste Transfer Site is transitioning to winter hours.

The final collection days for yard and kitchen waste are as follows:

• Tuesday collection last day: October 29
• Wednesday collection last day: October 30
• Thursday collection last day: October 31
• Friday collection last day: November 1

After November 1, kitchen and yard waste can be turned in at the Waste Transfer Site during regular business hours for no cost.

For residents planning on accessing the Waste Transfer Site, they are advised that summer hours end on November 2. The facility will re-open for winter hours on November 6.

After this point, the facility will be accessible from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Wednesdays to Saturdays. It will be closed on all statutory holidays, and after-hours access is not permitted.

The Waste Transfer Site is located one kilometre east of the roundabout on Highway 11A and one half kilometre south on Range Road 12 (30 street).
