This week in RDP Athletics: Oct. 4-6

Provided by RDP Athletics — This week, the RDP Queens Hockey team will begin the season against the Olds College Broncos at home. The Red Deer Polytechnic Queens Soccer team will challenge the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings in Camrose. Both soccer squads will host the SAIT Trojans Sunday afternoon.

The RDP Basketball and Volleyball teams will partake in non-conference action

Queens vs Olds College Broncos | Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre | Friday, October 4 | 7 pm

The Red Deer Polytechnic Queens Hockey team will kick off the 2024/2025 season against the Olds College Broncos at home.

Soccer

Queens at U of A Augustana Vikings | Saturday, October 5 | 1 pm

The Red Deer Polytechnic Queens (6-1-0) will face the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings (0-7-0) in Camrose. McKenna Leslie has six assists which is tied for second in the league.

RDP Queens vs SAIT Trojans | RDP Main Field | Sunday, October 6 | 12 pm

In a battle for top spot in the ACAC Women’s Soccer South Division, the second place Queens (6-1-0) will host the top seed Trojans (7-0-0) at the RDP Main Field. Stettler’s Coules leads the RDP Queens with six goals.

Kings vs SAIT Trojans | RDP Main Field | Sunday, October 6 | 2 pm

The top seed RDP Kings (3-1-2) will play the second place SAIT Trojans (3-2-1) at home. Red Deer’s Sarcevic leads the league with 20 points, 18 shots and eight goals.
