Fatal crash near Rimbey claims one life

RCMP say a crash in the Rimbey area on Sept. 2 claimed the life of a 46-year-old resident of Ponoka County.

Rimbey RCMP say the two-vehicle crash happened at about 3 p.m. on Range Road 42 at Township Road 430 — about 16 minutes west of Rimbey in Ponoka County.

Upon arrival, emergency crews tended to the occupants of both vehicles, with one being transported to hospital with serious injuries who later died.

The driver of the other vehicle received minor injuries, and police remained on scene for several hours investigating.

The investigation into the circumstances of this collision is ongoing.
