Edward Charles Shepard

Edward Charles Shephard of Red Deer AB, passed away at Extendicare Michener Hill on August 8, 2024 at the age of 89 years. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.
Ed was born in 1935 to parents George and Phyllis Shephard in Cochrane, ON. At a young age, he had a love for music, learning the violin, mandolin and harmonica.
Ed married his sweetheart Donna on September 14, 1957. They raised their five children, starting in Vancouver BC and finishing in Innisfail AB.
Ed always had time to talk to anyone about anything and had jokes and stories a-plenty. Over the years titles in providing for his family: Milkman, window cleaner, transport trucker, and the one that gave him the most pleasure, carpentry. He was a union carpenter and enjoyed working on many projects including the Dixon Dam.
He was a very spiritual man and loved sharing his hope for a better future.
Ed is survived by sons, Dan (Judy) Shephard, Nathan (Roxanne) Shephard, Michael (Kelly) Shephard; daughters Heather (Dan) Brandt, Terah Shephard; grand children Timothy, Jonathan, Anna, Isabel, Winston, Isaac and great-grandchildren Theo and Hope as well as numerous extended family members and friends. Ed will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 11 – Bennett St, Red Deer AB on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 3:00 p.m..
