Mr. Harry John Duchak of Eckville, Alberta passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey, Alberta on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the age of 80 years. Harry was born on November 12, 1943, to Peter and Ann Duchak. He was married and moved to Edmonton, Alberta, where he had three beautiful children, Bob, Denice and Nancy. Harry was a plumber and gasfitter by Trade. In his later years, he worked at Rona, where he was happy assisting customers with all their plumbing and construction needs. Harry was a sports enthusiast. He absolutely loved the Calgary Flames, the Calgary Stampeders, and the Toronto Blue Jays. Harry gave back to his community throughout the years by coaching Hockey and Baseball. Harry was known to give a nickname to most of his players and treated them like family. Harry continued travelling throughout the province in snowstorms and rainy weather, supporting his children and grandchildren through all of their sporting events, you could always hear him cheering the loudest from the stands. Harry also had a passion for playing and singing music. He even created a band in the lodge where he resided. Harry is survived by his three children Bob (Dawn), Denice, Nancy (Dan), his six grandchildren, Chance, Brooke (Jeremy), Brayden, Jordan, Ashlyn (Harvey), Sienna, and his great-granddaughter Sirena. Rest in Peace dad. Harry will be truly missed and loved by all.
