Red Deer 7-Eleven location launches alcohol sales and dine-in area

Aug 23, 2024 | 11:14 AM

7-Eleven is expanding its latest business model into Red Deer.

This week, one location has started selling alcohol and has opened a dine-in area.

That location is in Riverside Meadows ( 5925 54 Avenue).

“We’re excited to be launching another licensed restaurant format in Red Deer which will expand our offerings and provide our adult customers with even more convenience,” says Marc Goodman, Vice President and General Manager, 7-Eleven Canada.

“Fresh and prepared food and drinks are an important part of our business and we’re proud to be investing in new jobs and strengthening Alberta’s economy.”

All staff are ProServe trained, and all alcohol products (beer, wine and coolers) are under lock and key, only accessible by employees.

Items can be consumed in the designated dining area only, or taken home if unopened.

Items can also be ordered for delivery.

This model was pioneered in Alberta, which now has 20 such locations. The first was launched in Edmonton in December 2021.
