Mrs. Urszula ‘Ula’ Irena Zadrozna (nee Lupicka) passed away unexpectedly, doing the things she loved, with her husband by her side, on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the age of 76 years. Urszula was born on October 20, 1947 at Gydnia, Poland. She was raised by her loving parents, Kazimiesz and Czeslawa (nee Pomaranek) Lupicki, along with her brother and sister. Ula met her husband, Edward, shortly after university. Their mutual friend set them up for a date to the Graduation Ball and the rest is history. In Poland, as a young adult, Ula was competitive in Gymnastics. She was a swimmer, played piano, and was passionate about Scouts. Ula was a Civil Engineer in Poland and raised her two older sons in Poland, until 1980, when her desire to explore the world came true. Ula and her family immigrated to Red Deer, Alberta and shortly after she had another two children. Ula worked as an Individual Support Worker at Michener Services for thirty years and received an award for recognition for her outstanding attendance. She passionately loved her job and was very dedicated, everyone knew that. She was an amazing cook and not one day passed when there wasn’t a homecooked meal ready. Ula was generous and she enjoyed bargain hunting and discount shopping. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She was the core of our home, our foundation, our grace, our keeper of everything. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. Ula will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband, Edward Zadrozny; her sons, Arthur I. Zadrozny, Arkadiusz Zadrozny, and Michael Zadrozny, all of Red Deer, and her daughter, Patricia Zadrozny, of Sylvan Lake; her eleven grandchildren and her two great grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her sister, Barbara Lupicka and her brother, Wlodek Lupicki, as well as numerous family members and dear friends. All are welcome to pay their respects one hour prior to the Funeral Service. A Funeral Service will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta.
