Mrs. Diane Goodwin (nee McKillican), born on May 18, 1946, in Delisle, Saskatchewan, left us peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the age of 78 years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her presence will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Diane held a special place in her heart for her roots in Delisle, Saskatchewan, she was always keeping in touch with her childhood relatives. Throughout her life, she lived in many places, always bringing her passion for gardening with her. She had a true gift for nurturing beautiful flower and vegetable gardens, a passion that began in her early days on the farm. Diane was also known for her amazing canning skills, preserving the fruits of her labor with love. Together with her husband, Bruce, Diane created countless joyful memories on their lovely acreage, where they embraced the joys of country living. Beyond her gardening, Diane found great joy in her long career in real estate, a field she enjoyed until recently. A woman of strong convictions, Diane passionately advocated for the causes she believed in. Above all, her unwavering love for Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life. Her family and friends take comfort in knowing she is now safely home with Him. Diane is lovingly remembered by her husband, Bruce Goodwin, and her cherished children and grandchildren, Katherine Rutherford; Deborah Bennett and James Leon; Holly Bennett; Josh and Kimberly Hillock; grandsons Ryden and Owen Hillock; Jud and Sandra Hillock; grandsons Hunter and Tristan Hillock; and granddaughter Emerson Hillock. She will also be deeply missed by her brother, Gary (Lynn) McKillican, and her extended cousins, aunts and uncles. Diane was predeceased by her mother, Jean, her father, Eugene, her stepfather, Pete, and her previous husband, Bob Farquhar. Diane’s kindness and warmth touched the lives of many, and she will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
