Arabian horse show to trot through Westerner Park

Westerner Park is set to host Canada’s Premier Arabian Horse Show, which is expected to attract 24,000 spectators over its 10-day run.

From August 8-17, residents can observe competitions including Western, Ranch, and English riding as well as dressage and horse jumping.

Organizers say Canada’s National Arabian Championship is the longest-running Arabian national show and aims to bring together competitors and spectators from across North America. There are over 190 classes, and winners will be crowned “National Champions of Canada.”

The Arabian horse, renowned for its endurance, remains one of the most popular breeds worldwide, organizers say.
