AgSmart event offers look into latest agriculture technology
Central Alberta farmers will have an opportunity to explore the latest innovations in agriculture technology at the AgSmart Educational Exposition coming to Olds College.
“There are so many ag-tech and data products out there for producers. AgSmart brings together a solid representation of the industry for the farmers to connect with in one place. The educational focus at AgSmart helps producers see how they can implement tech and use their data to make decisions for their current operation,” explains Stacy Felkar, co-manager of the event.
On July 30 and 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the main campus, there will be more than 40 expert educational sessions taking place, more than 100 crop plots and 120 interactive exhibits, and demonstrations on everything from drones to field scale equipment.
“Our content streams focus on crop and livestock, so we have educational sessions from industry experts that cover everything from using genomic tools in beef production, to the role of artificial intelligence on the farm and using bio-stimulants, and so much more,” says Felkar.
