Blackfalds super kids to fly through weekend triathlon

Youth in the Town of Blackfalds will be taking to the pools and the track at 9 a.m. at the Abbey Centre on July 6 for the SuperKids Triathlon, a sanctioned Triathlon Alberta event.

The event has two categories: the avengers, for youth ages five to seven, and the justice league for ages eight to 12.

Registration for each category needs to be completed by July 5. Registration is $20 for the avengers, and $25 for the justice league, and registrants must have a Triathlon Alberta membership.

Avengers will be swimming 25 metres, biking one kilometre, and then running 500 metres. The justice league athletes will swim 50 metres, bike two kilometres, and run one kilometre.
