Normand Gagnon

On Saturday May 18th, 2024, Normand Gagnon passed away at the age of 77 in Red Deer, Alberta. Norm was born in Sudbury, Ontario on July 6th, 1946 and was the son of the late Rolland and Liliane Gagnon (Lavallée). Norm was blessed to have nine siblings; Jeannine (Ron) both predeceased, Diane (Bob predeceased) (Phil), Mae predeceased (Wally), Pauline (Gaëtan), Gilles predeceased (Diane), Mike (Jocelyn), Lina (Mike), Nicole (Andy A.K.A. Capone), Rene (Tracy), and many nieces and nephews.
Norm had four children; daughter Monique (Marc), three sons Daniel (Gail), Shawn and predeceased Réjean. Five grandchildren; Jasmine (Johnathan), Ariane, Julien (Emily), Alyssa (Jason), and Sierra (Mark). Five great grandchildren Carter, Ciera, Gavin, Malachi, and soon to arrive Lincoln.
Norm enjoyed being a Heavy Equipment Operator for various Mines and Contracting Companies where he operated shovels, loaders, backhoes, dozers, dump trucks, etc. Norm will be remembered for his love for music, playing multiple instruments and singing. His love for the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and the time at the family camp on Vermillion Lake where many games of crib and horseshoes were played. He also had a great sense of humor, loved to tell jokes, and enjoyed playing cards as it was one of his favourite pastimes.
Family will be invited to a celebration of life in Sudbury, date to be determined.
