As a professional Truck Driver, Dad estimates he travelled 5,000,000+ miles driving between Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. His love for driving did not stop after retiring. He was always up for going on short road trips or just a drive through the countryside. When he worked in the Artic, he always came home with a huge beard. Which he loved to tickle us kids with before shaving it off. As a young man he enjoyed helping his friends and family at the stockcar racetrack. His hobby was carpentry work which was evident when he converted a school bus and a Prevost bus to our family camper. We made road trips to Vancouver Island for vacations, mostly so Dad could take a Ferry ride. This was one of his happy places. Loved watching the birds and deer during the day; then stars and the galaxy at night. Was always down to watch a good western or the history channel which he loved to share with others what he learned. His stories, of his past were always enjoyed by all. He passed down to his children his hard work ethics, which were always admired by everyone.
