Lacombe council revises 2024 capital works slate
Lacombe city council has approved a revised capital works program for 2024, with $3.6 million worth of improvements on the way.
During council deliberations on Budget 2024, it had approved the 2024 capital works program, but the scope of work on the alleyways north of 49A Avenue and 49 Avenue required more funding to complete sanitary and sewer replacements for both lanes.
“I am pleased to announce that council has approved the 2024 capital works program, which will allow us to invest in projects that will enhance our city’s infrastructure, services and quality of life,” Mayor Grant Creasey said.
“The program reflects our commitment to fiscal responsibility and supports our strategic priorities. These investments will advance sustainable infrastructure that will benefit residents and commuters for years.”
