New family physician practicing in Sylvan Lake

AHS says a new family physician is practicing in Sylvan Lake.

Dr. Henelle Swart is working out of the Sylvan Medical Centre and Sylvan Lake Advanced Ambulatory Care Service. She’s accepting new patients by phone at 403-887-2221.

Swart previously practiced in South Africa where she received her medical training in 2015 from the University of Pretoria.

With the doctor’s arrival, there are now 18 doctors working in Sylvan Lake.

AHS notes that Dr. Swart is passionate about mental health and providing holistic health care.
