Action for Prosperity hosting community forum

May 1, 2024 | 3:20 PM

Red Deerians are invited to participate in a community forum for Action for Prosperity on Wednesday, May 8 from 5 to 8 pm at the Baymont by Wyndham hotel.

Action for Prosperity is about bringing different voices together – like businesses, agencies, and community members – to take action on poverty in central Alberta. The organization wants to hear your ideas about how they can make a difference for those who are struggling to make ends meet. They also want to share different perspectives and experiences about what works, and what problems they can solve if the community combines its efforts.

The forum will include dinner and a facilitated discussion in order to shape realistic goals that promote cross-sector collaboration in order to build a more prosperous Central Alberta for all community members.

Action for Prosperity has support from the United Way of Central Alberta (UWCA), Red Deer and District Family and Community Support Services, and the Central Alberta Poverty Reduction Alliance (CAPRA). The organization is gathering partners to help shape Action for Prosperity, and put ideas into motion.
