Mrs. Marjorie Anne Ambrose, of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the age of 77 years. Marjorie was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and raised in the town of Arichat on the island of Isle Madame off of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Marjorie worked for the Royal Bank of Canada for 20 years, while working at the bank she met her husband Ron while working in Montreal. Ron and Marjorie were married in December of 1968, with Ron working for the Canadian Air Force meant many moves across Canada where Marjorie time of organizing the many homes over the years. Stephen was born in 1970 followed by the birth of Kenneth in 1972. Marjorie enjoyed quilting and knitting in her spare time, often joined by Stephen’s wife Melinda helping. Another enjoyment that Marjorie had was a round of golf or walking the numerous paths around Red Deer. Marjorie and Ron snow birded in Florida, enjoyed many trips across Canada with Marjorie searching for wildlife on those drives. A special place in Marjorie’s heart were her two granddaughters Samantha and Nikita, she cherished the time spent with them. Marjorie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty-five years Ronald, her two sons; Stephen of Wainwright, Alberta and Kenneth of Ottawa, Ontario, as well as extended family and friends. A Celebration of Marjorie’s Life was held at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Marjorie’s honor may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation at www.heartandstroke.ca.
