Mrs. Phillis Marie Kubash (nee Sorochan) passed away peacefully at the Royal Oak Village, Lacombe, Alberta on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at the age of 86 years. She is at rest now. Phillis always kept learning and went back to college in her fifties, to take computer and accounting studies to better herself. She worked all her life and finished her career in accounting. Phillis enjoyed many pets, gardening, camping, playing cards, reading and cooking. Boy, could she cook and bake. Family and friends were the highlight of her life, hours spent with the people she loved, always with a cup of tea and a treat. She was the toughest person, battling cancer for the past eighteen years, and she took it with grace and dignity. Phillis will be truly missed by all she touched. She is lovingly remembered by her family, extended family and friends. Phillis is predeceased by her son, Leslie and her granddaughter, Alyssa. A Celebration of Phillis’s Life will be held at a later date.
