Significant snowfall amounts hit central Alberta

Periods of heavy snow fell across portions of the province between Tuesday night and Thursday, resulting in significant snowfall amounts for many areas, including some in central Alberta.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), snowfall is forecast off and on into the weekend for some southern regions.

Snowfall reports as of 3 p.m. MST on Thursday, in centimetres, are as follows:
