Sweet, beautiful Nyah passed away so peacefully, in the arms of her adoring family, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at the tender age of 18 years. She was everything to her family, bringing love and joy to everyone who was blessed to have known her. Nyah was such a gentle soul who lived her life with true strength and grace in spite of the fact that life was far from gentle with her. She endured more trials and suffering than most will ever know, yet she lived her life with a smile. While the world raced by her in such a hurry, she taught us to appreciate the simple things in life like butterscotch pudding and popcorn twists, going for a walk and stopping to feel the leaves of the hedges along the way, rides on the Action Bus to Parkland School each morning, Baby Einstein and road trips…….the faster and bumpier the better! Cuddle time was the highlight of everyone’s day, Mom and Dad battling over whose turn it was for snuggles with Baby Girl. Our sweet girlie’s life was far too short, and she will be desperately missed by her mom and dad, her big brother, Jacob (he was definitely her hero!), MANY aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as an endless list of people whose lives she touched. Her teachers and aides at Parkland School and her beautiful caregivers throughout the years…..these are the most loving, compassionate people we have ever met, and we will be eternally grateful for their devotion and tender care of our baby girl. Though our hearts are aching with the loss of our beautiful Nyah, there is overwhelming joy, knowing that she is free from pain, running and jumping and dancing with Grandma Ruth and Grandpa Reuben, and safe in the arms of Jesus.
