It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Deans of Didsbury on February 15, 2024 at the age of 67.
David was born and raised in Three Hills, where he met his wife of 44 years, Brenda. They later relocated to Calgary, where he worked as a Glazier for Cascade Glass for 15 years. The next move was to Merritt, where their son Bill was born, and where David started a lengthy career in hardware retail. David, Brenda and Bill moved to Didsbury in 1998, where they have stayed ever since.
David loved doing home improvement projects and renovations, along with woodworking and cooking. He was always someone you could count on to help a friend. In his later years, he enjoyed spending time in the backyard with his dogs Jay and Mackie.
David is predeceased by his mother and father David and Lois Deans, and survived by his loving wife Brenda, brother Dan (Donna), sister Ella (David) and son Bill (Kailey) and his grand-dog Neeka.
The family would like to sincerely thank the Didsbury first responders and Heartland Funeral Services for their support. A celebration of life will be held in the summer.
