Donald Freeman passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on February 8, 2024, with his family around him. He was 89.

He was a loving husband and kind and generous father, grandfather to nine and great-grandfather to seven children. In life: a teacher, a bookkeeper, a glider pilot, a good dancer, and a fine tenor. A charitable man, he supported agencies that served people in need. He believed in the goodness of people.

On the home front he was a successful builder, mechanic and electrician and general fixer of things. He loved the mountains and camping with his family. He was extremely proud of all the accomplishments of all the kids big and little.

Memorial Service to be held on February 17, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 40 Holmes Street, Red Deer.
