Edmund (Eddie) Kalweit passed away on Jan.2,2024 at Red Deer Hospital. He was born on July 13,1926 in Heinrichsthal near Dortmund, Germany. Eddie was educated in Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1953. Initially he worked on a farm east of Innisfail before moving to Red Deer shortly there after. In 1962 he married Ingeborg (Inge) and they settled in Fairview where he lived until his passing. They always had a great garden that they enjoyed sharing. They had a wonderful life together. They loved to travel and enjoyed the company of many friends. He was a founding member of the German Canadian Club and enjoyed many years of their functions, parties and concerts.

Eddie was very lucky to have very good neighbours on either side of him and would like to Thank Bill and Juanita Reid and John and Helen Pannenbecker for all their friendship and good will.

He was predeceased by his parents, one brother (WW2) and his wife Ingeborg (2007). Eddie would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses of Unit 31 for looking after him so well.
