ZENAIDA YAP PABILONA
July 5, 1941 – December 10, 2023
“Where there is deep grief, there is great love.”
Loving mother, grandmother, wife, and sister, Zenaida Yap Pabilona “Inday” joined our creator on the early afternoon of December 10, 2023, due to Cardiac arrest at the age of 82. Peacefully, she passed away surrounded by family at the Red Deer Regional Hospital.
Zenaida was the fifth of seven children born on July 5, 1941 in Tuble, Sagay City, Philippines and was predeceased by her parents Leonora Tanchangco and Kiya Yap. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Eduardo; her children Manuel, Albert, Arlene; grandchildren Yen-yen, Arah, Hannah, Breanna, Zeny-Ann and Jabie.
Zenaida is loved dearly by her family – she will be remembered as the grandma who loves to cook delicious meals. One of her specialty dishes is “HUMBA”, is a favorite of everyone. She was a housewife, and she took pride in having her own sari-sari store back in the days. Zenaida also liked to spend her time caring for her flowers; orchids had a special place in her heart.
She truly lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with her beloved husband Eduardo and family, watching her favorite Filipino television shows and spending time outside whenever she can during the warm weather.
She will be greatly missed by her loving family and will always be remembered in their hearts.
The family is sincerely grateful to the many relatives and friends who have given their support and comfort during this time of loss.
Visitation for Zenaida will be held on December 17, 2023 (Sunday) from 4 to 7 pm at Eventide Funeral Home Chapel, 4820-45 Street, Red Deer.
A Memorial and Mass Service will be held on December 19, 2023 (Tuesday) 11 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 6 McMillan Ave, Red Deer.
