On December 6th, 2023, Ray passed away surrounded by his family in Red Deer, AB at the age of 75.
Ray will be forever cherished by his loving wife Janice; sister Patricia (Harvey), daughters Carrie (Dean), Tracey; son Judd; grandchildren Mackenzie (Kenzie), Breanna (Charles), Christian, Jed and Bryce; great-grandchildren Ryleigh, Ty and Brynn; nieces, nephews and many friends. There are not enough words to describe the love Ray had for his family. He was incredibly proud of his entire family, boasting not just his achievements but theirs. Ray’s love shared with his wife, Janice “Poochy” of 54 years married (60 years together) was a true love story, filled with everlasting memories.
Ray dedicated the last 30 years in the new home industry, becoming a well respected Sales Project Manager – he not only built houses, he turned them into every client’s dream. Ray devoted decades to his work, leaving a lasting impact. His vibrant spirit extended beyond his professional life, as he reveled in a profound love for cars, enjoying each rev of every model he bought. Ray also had a love for sunshine that wasn’t just a preference for good weather; it was a reflection of his bright nature and his ability to find beauty in even the simplest moments. Ray was a beacon of intense optimism and had a vibrant zest for life. His optimism was not just a trait, but a guiding light that touched the lives of those around him. Ray’s unconditional love of togetherness found expression in his passion for capturing moments through the lens of his camera. He had a remarkable sense of humor, weaving laughter into the fabric of his relationships with many. His infectious laughter echoed through the years, creating joyful memories for all fortunate enough to share his company. Ray brought a boundless energy with him into every room and was a source of inspiration for family, friends and colleagues alike. In every challenge, he found opportunity; in every setback, he found a chance for growth. May he rest in peace, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, love and enduring memories.
