Hans Juergen Foerderer passed away November 29, 2023 at the age of 70 in Red Deer Regional Hospital. He was born in Denzlingen, Germany and immigrated to Canada at a very young age. Left behind to mourn are his immediate family; wife Valerie, daughter Kelly, sister Heide and grandsons Cruz and Diego. As well, numerous extended family members and countless others who called him a friend.

Juergen had an unwavering zest for life and sense of humor that did not diminish over the last 6 months spent in Hospital. He loved making people laugh, fighting bravely through pain with jokes, smiles and showing off his tattoos is how we’ll remember him best. Juergen’s happy place was at the campsite where he could sit in the sun or around the campfire with his many family and friends. A private burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Eventide Funeral Home.

To feel the warmth of the sun

In that final place of rest

Was a well deserved reward

After giving his very best

No need to rush or hurry

Time now to sit a spell

With loved ones gone before him

He had stories and jokes to tell
