Innisfail RCMP raise a jolly amount at charity checkstop
Innisfail RCMP raised just over $14,000 at their 27th annual Charity Checkstop, which took place on Dec. 2.
That’s not to mention three truck loads of high quality toys and new clothing collected for the Innisfail Christmas Bureau, and 595 pounds of food for the Innisfail Food Bank.
Also benefiting will be the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre and the Youth Positive Assets Coalition.
The event was put on with the help of many local businesses, as well as the Innisfail Fire Department, the Town of Innisfail Community Peace Officers, Correctional Service Canada, Innisfail Victim Services, the Christmas Bureau, the Food Bank, the Youth Positive Assets Coalition, The Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre. We would also like to thank Ron King for being our Santa Claus and Courtney Malone for being Safety Bear as well as providing the Christmas Music.
