Ms. Mykyla Bonnie Marie Parslow of Rimbey, Alberta, formerly of Banff, Alberta, passed away in Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the age of 24 years. Mykyla was born in Edmonton, Alberta, and raised in Banff, Alberta, where she completed her schooling, until leaving recently with a relocation to Rimbey, Alberta. Mykyla loved to cook and was well known in the Banff area as a respected Chef at many Banff restaurants, Mykyla loved to skate, and spent many hours perfecting her skills figure skating. She was known for her brush strokes on many a canvas; her artwork was thoroughly enjoyed by friends and family. Always the animal lover, Mykyla cared for animals with the greatest of ease. Mykyla was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of being touched by her presence, and it was very special when she called you a friend. Mykyla will be lovingly remembered by her father, Norman Garrett Parslow of Vernon, British Columbia, her brother, Justin Parslow of London, Ontario, her grandfather, John Chamaschuk ‘DiGi’ of Red Deer, Alberta, her aunt, Diana (Bill) Sutton of Red Deer, Alberta and numerous extended family and friends. Mykyla was predeceased by her mother, Joanne Parslow (nee Chamaschuk), her paternal grandfather, Ron (Bonnie) Parslow, her grandmother, Marie Dobing, her uncle, Robert Parslow, and her maternal grandmother, Mary Chamaschuk ‘BaBa’.
