Red Deer RCMP arrest male following collision

Red Deer RCMP have arrested one male following a single vehicle collision Wednesday morning.

Shortly after 8:00 a.m on Nov. 15, 2023, police received a 911 call reporting a male driving a truck, doing donuts in a park off Ibbotson Close, in the Inglewood neighbourhood of Red Deer. Further reports to police advised the truck had collided with playground equipment.

RCMP responded immediately and located the vehicle. A 40-year-old male, who is a resident of Red Deer, was identified as the lone occupant and driver of the truck. He was arrested and taken into custody.

Investigation into the incident resulted in one charge of Careless Driving, which is pending against this male who has been released from police custody.
