High School football Weekly Top-10 rankings

Here are the Weekly Top-10 Rankings for all four Tiers of 12-man high school football in Alberta and the 6-man rankings as well for the 2023 season.

These rankings will come out every Sunday until November 6. At that time those will be the last rankings and teams will take this rank into Provincials

The teams are slotted into Tiers based on their estimated school size by the Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association. Some re-sorting of Tier’s will take place after the final officials population numbers are recorded at the end of September. Please note that games vs. US opponents, scrimmages, or tournaments are not taken into consideration for ranking or listed in the overall record of the schools.

This concludes the Football Alberta Rankings for 2023. Next week the games are provincial in nature as 16 contests in four Tiers (6-a-Side takes the week off) start the process of determining champions at the 12-a-Side level of play. It’s been interesting and certainly not over yet, but high school football in Alberta remains vibrant and a great way to spend your fall.
