It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Sandra ‘Sandy’ Marie Janes of Red Deer, Alberta, at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Edmonton on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the age of 65 years. Sandy was born in Alberton, Prince Edward Island on January 29, 1958, to Cyril and Edna (nee DesRoches) Gaudet. Sandy spent her young life in Tignish Shore, Prince Edward Island and then moved to Ontario, where she stayed until moving to Red Deer, Alberta in 2006. Sandy will be lovingly remembered by her estranged husband, Joe; her son, Joey; her daughter, Jolene (Dan); and her grandsons, Ethan and Silas. She will also be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters, Austin (Velda) Gaudet, Kathleen (Leroy) Doucette, Theresa (Norman) Leger, Velma (Ronald) Leger, Shirley Pitre, Leonard (Audrey) Gaudet, Austina Doucette, Ann (Rick) Walsh, Doreen (Claude) Robichaud, and Debbie (Henry) Chiasson, as well as numerous family members and dear friends. Sandy was predeceased by her parents, Cyril and Edna Gaudet; her sisters, Eunice McFadgen, Auldine Bernard, Irene Arsenault, and Barbara Ann Gaudet; and her brothers, Nelson Gaudet and Junior Gaudet.
