We are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beloved dad, grandpa, and great grandpa, Neil
Morton McLeod, from Innisfail, Alberta. Neil passed away surrounded by his loving family at the
Innisfail Health Centre on Friday, October 20, 2023, at the age of 83 years. Neil was born on June 20,
1940, to Ken and Florence McLeod of Clive, Alberta, being the fourth among six siblings. He was
raised and educated in Clive, Alberta. Neil’s professional journey spanned across various parts of
Alberta, beginning in the oil industry before moving into the trucking sector, where he retired from
Bettensons Sand & Gravel Company. He relocated to Innisfail, Alberta, to be closer to his daughter
Rhonda, son-in-law Trevor, and grandchildren Justin, Carli, and Miranda. Neil made a significant
impact within the Innisfail community, driving the community Handi-bus and being an active member
of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Being a proud member of AA, Neil marked his thirty
ninth year of sobriety on October 20, 2023. From 2014 to 2023, Neil resided at Autumn Grove Lodge
and moved to Sunset Manor in August 2023. Neil leaves behind cherished memories with his three
children, Jacqueline (James Baillie) McLeod of St. Albert, Alberta, Rhonda (Trevor) Ebbert of
Innisfail, Alberta, and Darrin McLeod of Calgary, Alberta. His legacy continues with his four
grandchildren, Justin Ebbert, Carli (Brian) Ingham, Miranda (Garret Jensen) Ebbert, Teigan Wright, and
two great-grandchildren, Winter and Asher. He is lovingly remembered by his brother Norm (Catherine)
McLeod, his sister, Kennethe Hermary, his brother-in-law Rolly Willick, along with numerous nieces
and nephews. Neil was predeceased by his parents, Ken and Florence McLeod, his brothers Rod
McLeod and Forbes McLeod, his sister, Marie Willick, and his brother-in-law, Paul Hermary. The
family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the medical team at the Innisfail Health Centre, and the staff at
Autumn Grove and Sunset Manor for their years of compassionate service. A Funeral Service will be
held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 5698 55th Avenue Crescent, Innisfail, Alberta,
on Friday, November 3 at 1:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at the Innisfail Cemetery following the
