Vehicle crashes near Penhold going around 160 km/h
A 39-year-old man from Prince Albert, SK has been charged with multiple driving offences following an alleged incident near Penhold earlier this month.
RCMP say it was about 10:15 a.m. on Sept. 11 when Alberta RCMP Traffic Services began receiving reports of a vehicle allegedly going in excess of 160 km/h on the QEII Highway.
A few minutes after the last sighting, the suspect vehicle lost control attempting to pass a vehicle on the shoulder and crashed near Highway 42.
RCMP quickly attended the scene and located the driver, who was the vehicle’s lone occupant. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
