Johanna “Ann” Wilhelmina Jansman was born on November 13, 1930, in Raalte, Holland. Ann was raised in the community of Luttenberg with 6 brothers and one beloved sister. In February 1958, she married Henry Reimert, and they began their life by immigrating to Canada. In 1962 they purchased their farm in Bergen to build a life with their five children Dianne (1959), Will (1960), John (1961), Marian (1964), and Angela (1967). Ann worked hard on the farm, working right alongside Henry milking, and working in the field. Once the boys were old enough and able to help, she turned her attention to sewing and knitting to help bring in extra income. Ann was incredibly involved in her community donating her time and skills to the Bergen Ladies Aid, Catholic Women’s League, and the Sundre Hospital Auxiliary. Despite her busy life, Ann always welcomed company with a warm smile, a cup of coffee, and homemade baking. She had an infectious laugh and a kind spirit. She was devoted to her community, her faith, and her family. Ann is survived by her sons Will (Carol) and John (Corrina); daughters Marian (Bryan), and Angela (Bob);
son-in-law Miller (Julie). She was also blessed with 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her infant son – Gerardus, husband – Henry and daughter – Dianne. Ann’s warmth, strength, determination in life and commitment to the family will always be remembered.
