June 24, 1936 – August 23, 2023
Eino was born to Elmer and Sylvia Lund on June 24, 1936, in the Kuusamo district on the family farm west of Sylvan Lake, Alberta.
After leaving the farm he worked in northern Saskatchewan at a uranium mine before going to Calgary where he worked twenty-one years for one company alone. He had a business in British Columbia for two and a half years then came back to Alberta and worked summers for the forestry at Rocky and Nordegg for twelve years. He also worked part time as a guard for the RCMP in Rocky before retiring. He loved to travel with his wife in their R.V in the beloved West Country.
He leaves to mourn three children: Terry, Dawn and Darren; his two sisters: Helen Anderson of Calgary, AB and Darlene Karpinske of Kelowna, B.C. He also has four grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents, wife Winnie Lund and four brothers Raymond, Ronald, Ralph, and Howard.
A private inurnment will be held at the Kuusamo Cemetery. He requested that there be no funeral service.
