Loyd Frank Whitney

Born August 5, 1932, Peace River, Alberta – Passed away August 8, 2023, Olds, Alberta
It is with great sadness that the family of Loyd Frank Whitney shares the news of his passing at the Long Term Care Unit in the Olds Hospital on August 8, 2023 at the age of 91.
He is survived by his wife Darlene Whitney, his children Patty Schmidt (Marty), Greg Whitney (Cathy), Shelley Giles (Jared), 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his mother Ivy Whitney and father Manson Whitney, his two brothers, Albert Whitney, and Roy Whitney (Bernice), and his two sisters, Gladys Abramenko (Bill) and Ivy Driscoll (Ray).
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 18, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #105 Olds, Alberta.
In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alzheimer Society.

If Only We Could See

If only we could see the splendor of the land
To which our loved ones are called
From you and me –
We’d understand

If only we could hear the welcome they receive
