Sylvan Lake man sentenced in stolen vehicles and drugs seizure

A Sylvan Lake man charged after Mounties seized drugs and stolen vehicles in Delburne last month will be spending a grand total of 10 days in jail.

Jacob Charles Vincent, 26, was sentenced in Drumheller Court of Justice on Aug. 18, 2023 on one count each for failure to comply with a release order and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

On July 19, 2023, Three Hills RCMP were dispatched to a suspicious truck and ATV parked in Delburne. They say the investigation revealed that the truck, a Ford F550 and Yamaha ATV, were both reported stolen out of Consort, Alta.

Upon further investigation, police subsequently located identifications, a large quantity of vehicle keys, oxycodone pills, drug paraphernalia, and what was suspected to be a homemade firearm in the stolen truck.
