Mr. Patrick Mark Layden of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away peacefully at his home, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, July 21, 2023 at the age of 63 years. Patrick was born and raised in Olds, Alberta. He worked in and around the Red Deer area enjoying a career in Road Construction. Patrick was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends. Patrick will be lovingly remembered by his two sons, Neil of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, and Derek of Weyburn, Saskatchewan; his three daughters, Charisse (Shawn) Easter of Calgary, Alberta, Sabrina Layden of Calgary, Alberta, Robyn (Issac) Vilcu of Weyburn, Saskatchewan and his nine grandchildren. Patrick will also be sadly missed by his four brothers, Clark (Donna) of Drumheller, Alberta, Mike of Camrose, Alberta, Reg (Gai) of Victoria, British Columbia, Hal of Red Deer, Alberta and his sister Gaytan ( Bob) Thiels of Red Deer, Alberta. Patrick was predeceased by his parents, Douglas and Flora Layden (nee Russell). A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at the Mirror Cemetery, Mirror, Alberta at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if desired, Memorial Donations in Patrick’s honor may be made directly to the Safe Harbour Society Red Deer, Alberta at www.safeharboursociety.org.
