Red Deer road closures on Monday, July 31

Motorists are advised of various road closures in Red Deer on Monday.

On July 31 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., the intersection at 50 (Gaetz) Avenue and 47 Street will be closed to traffic.

The City says water and sewer infrastructure work is being completed.

Motorists can use 48 Street, 51 Avenue or 46 Street to detour the closure.

That same day, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., 45 Street eastbound will we closed to traffic, east of Taylor Drive.

The City says concrete work is being completed.

Eastbound traffic can use 43 Street or 49 Street to detour this closure.

Drivers are reminded to slow down when in construction areas and pedestrians are to cross only at designated crosswalks.

The City says the work is weather dependent, and schedules may be subject to change.
