Two people from Sundre are facing charges after RCMP seized drugs and weapons from a local residence last week.

In April of 2023, Sundre RCMP say they entered into a drug trafficking investigation after receiving information that illegal drugs were being sold at a residence on 10 Ave., in Sundre.

On July 21, 2023, Sundre RCMP, with assistance from Olds and Didsbury RCMP, conducted a search warrant at this residence. Mounties say the Southern Alberta Emergency Response Team assisted with entry into the residence.

As a result of the search warrant, police say the following was seized:

  • Quantities of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl and gamma-hydroxybutric acid (GHB)
  • Canadian currency
  • assorted ammunition
  • several firearms and tasers (CEW)
  • soft body armour
  • an assortment of edged weapons & other prohibited weapons
  • drug paraphernalia and drug producing equipment

Bradley Pearce, 37, and Cassandra Kopp, 21, have both been charged with 22 offences, some of which include:

  • Trafficking in cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl and GHB
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon
  • Unsafe storage of a firearm

RCMP say Bradley Pearce was also charged with several failure to comply with probation orders.

After Judicial Interim Release hearings, Mounties say both Pearce and Kopp have been released on conditions for Alberta Court of Justice in Didsbury on Aug. 14, 2023.
