Red Deer home sales increase last month compared to June 2022

While Red Deer saw slightly lower home sales this June compared to the month prior, there was an increase compared to the same month last year.

According to the Central Alberta Realtors Association (CARA), there were 204 units sold in Red Deer last month, down from 218 units sold in May but up from 197 units sold in June 2022.

Year to date, 945 units have been sold in the city as of June 30, down from 1,184 units sold to this point last year.

The average sale price in Red Deer last month was $354,514. That compares with $328,656 in May and $348,002 in June 2022.

The average number of days to sell a home in Red Deer last month was 37, down from 46 days in May and 42 days in June 2022.

For the entire central Alberta market, there were 596 units sold last month, up from 558 units sold in May and 587 units sold in June 2022.

Year to date numbers indicate 2,545 units sold throughout central Alberta as of June 30. That compares with 3,409 units sold to this point last year.

The average sale price throughout central Alberta last month was $366,788. That’s up from $352,265 in May and $349,203 in June 2022.

Meanwhile, the average number of days to sell a home in central Alberta last month was 46, down from 49 days in May and 48 days in June 2022.
