On Monday, May 22, 2023 Linda Josephine Kaye passed away at Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, with her family at her side, at the age of 73 years. Linda was born in Red Deer, Alberta and attended school there. As a young adult, she lived briefly in Calgary. She married Bingson Tony Yee in 1970, and their son, Tony was born in 1973. After Linda and Bingson divorced, she and Tony moved to Edmonton and then to Victoria, British Columbia, where she worked in the Insurance Industry. In the early 1990’s, she and Tony moved back to Red Deer to be closer to her mom. Linda continued her career in Insurance and purchased the house across the street from her childhood home, where her mom still lived. In 2005, she was overjoyed by her son’s wedding, and then again when she became a grandma in 2009. In 2018, Linda enjoyed a trip to Norway, her mother’s ancestral home, with Dennis, Kathie, Justin, Chris, and Cherryl-Anne. Linda loved her family and always looked forward to family reunions. After retirement, Linda was happiest at home and in her garden, and spending time with her grandchildren, her son, and family and friends. Linda will be lovingly remembered by her son, Tony Karlson Kaye and her daughter-in-law, Julie Lyn Kaye, and their six children, Liam Antony, Rhema, Myla, Liam, Noah, and Journee, who live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Linda was so proud of her grandchildren and loved them all dearly. She will also be sadly missed by her sister, Kathie (Jim) Ayotte of Kamloops, British Columbia her brothers, Dennis Kaye of Sylvan Lake, Alberta and Bob Kaye (Carol) of Calgary, Alberta, her nephews, Christepher Kaye of Edmonton, Alberta, Justin Ayotte of Ottawa, Ontario and Corey Kaye of Calgary, Alberta, her nieces, Shannon Swekla of Saskatoon, Cherryl-Anne Ayotte of Kamloops, and Katrina Thompson of Calgary.
