It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Mrs. Doris Marie Symes announce her unexpected passing at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Friday, April 14, 2023 at the age of 61 years. Her family is deeply saddened by her sudden death. Doris was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and wife. Her children were her life, and her grandchildren quickly followed suit. You could always hear her say “I love you to the moon and back”. Doris was selfless, and would give the shirt off her back, if anyone needed it. She loved unconditionally and never had a negative thing to say about anyone. She was full of fun and loved spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed baking, loved sunflowers, and bragging about her beautiful grandchildren. There was not a space on the walls of her home that did not showcase the love she had for her family. Her kind heart and generous spirit will be greatly missed. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of forty-four years, Calvin, her three sons, Stephen (Angie), Sammy (Elyse) and Cory (Melissa), and her six grandchildren, Ameah, Kasen, Brodie, Boden, Annalissa and Paisley. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings, George (Linda), Gerald (Gloria), Hubert (Tracy), Caroline (John), Eva (Ray), Lucy (Clayton), Lora (Ward), Madge (Reg), Bernice and her sister-in-law, Meta. She will also be forever missed by her brother and sisters-in-law, Clyde (Brenda), Keith (Glenda), Denis (Cindy), Ida (Roland), Laureen (George), Darlene (Paul), Ruth (Glen) and Gladys; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and endless friends who will miss her deeply. Doris was predeceased by her parents, Pearl (nee Coombs) and Samuel McDonald, her brother, John, her sister, Lydia, her beloved mother-in-law, Lucy, her brother-in-law, Don, and her sister-in-law, Shirley.
